Blogwatch: The Vigil Idiot

No time (or patience or money or spirit) to watch a movie, but you still want to know how it goes? Too bored to read wordy reviews in newspapers and news-sites? Then this is just the right blog to look up.

Started by blogger Sahil Rizwan, the blog’s catchphrase is Stripping That Movie That Just Released One Stick Figure At A Time…

And that’s precisely what it does. The blogger creates his analysis of whichever (Bollywood) movie he has watched in the form of a comic strip, with the characters represented by stick figures. While I will not go into the critical merit of the content, it has generally provided me with a few laughs on dull days. But I guess there are enough people who share my opinion, for in the one year of its existence, the blog has received 269,743 visits and 2198 comments on the 33 movies it has ‘reviewed’. Not surprisingly, the most popular movie reviewed is ‘My Name is Khan’.

A recommended read for a rainy day.

Alert: Do not read the review before watching the film.

About ozymandias

What am I? A body and brain, products of carbon concatenation chemistry, an intelligence and conscience to enable bits of DNA evolve. Maybe a pharaoh, maybe a dung-beetle, never more than a safe conduit for some genes.
